Children’s Health Insurance provides medical, dental and vision benefits to children under age 19 through the Medicaid program. There are no deductibles or co-pays. The insurance is free or low-cost depending on your family’s gross monthly income.
If your family’s countable income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, the coverage is free of charge. If your family’s countable income is between 200% – 250% of the Federal Poverty Level, there is a monthly premium of $15 per child, with a $45 per month family maximum. The income guidelines below can help you determine if your child may be eligible for the free or low-cost program.
